With social media becoming a norm, and a regular part of daily life, it does not come as a surprise that it is being utilized as a tool in the business world–and in more ways than one, too. Both aspiring employees and employers turn to social media. A Forbes article states that half of job seekers are active on social networking sites daily, and more than one-third of employers use these sites in their hiring process. CareerBuilder did a survey and asked more than 2,000 hiring managers and human resource experts how they integrate social media in hiring; it found out that 37% of employers use social media when it comes to screening potential candidates.
